TownePlace Suites by Marriott Fort McMurray

The hotel was minutes away from where I needed to be. It was extremely clean and very comfortable! The staff were very friendly at each interaction. The breakfast was good and amenities were great for if you’re doing a longer stay! I’ve tried a handful of other hotel options in Fort McMurray; but this was by far the best experience! I will be returning for future business stays.

Great place to unwind, and relax! Close to all major amenties. Downtown is 3-4 minute drive!!

I routinely stay at this hotel, usually for at least 4 days in a row. I come back every month, sometimes twice a month. Check in is very easy, and the front desk folks greet me with recognition. Hotel rooms are fully set up for long term stays...hot plate, fridge, a kitchenette in general with ample dishware. Beds are super comfy...Right firmness for me. Bathrooms are very clean, and recently updated with liquid soap/shampoo/conditioner in the shower. The water is hot, and the pressure is good. Housekeeping is phenomenal...in the 90 plus nights I've stayed here, I have never had a single cleanliness concern. A/C works well in all seasons. Service is great...always flexible with late check out. Antonio does a top notch job! There's a pool with waterside, hot tub, and fitness room. Breakfast is fine...it's hot breakfast, but nothing bespoke about it. Location isn't the best as it's on far south end of town, without a ton of decent food options nearby. Rooms are well insulated so not too much of an issue with traffic noise. Only Marriott property in McMurray, but it does a good job of holding up the brand. Far better maintained and cleaner than other TownePlace Suites I've visited in the US.

Whenever I need to come in for work, this is my go to hotel. The rooms are clean, nice pool area, adequate fitness centre and I appreciate the upkeep of the hotel-modern. The staff at the front desk are welcoming and most helpful. Antonio is always so pleasant to deal with and ensure my stay is most comfortable. The breakfast is needing a few gluten free options but other than that, I’ll be back! Highly recommend.

Hotel was decent. People say the burger king is the only food near by, I walked directly across the highway, over to Brewskis pub in the motel 8 parking lot. Brewskis food was fantastic, drinks were cold and the staff were chatty and attentive. Overall had a great stay.

Great hotel. Service is top notch…especially Antonio at the front desk. Always polite, friendly and prepared. Only place I stay when I come to Fort McMurray. Update: they came through big time again!!! Nicole, Patricia and staff surprised me with a nice little setup in the room as I was stuck working over my birthday!!!! Ballon’s, treats, a couple nice cards and a pint of ice cream in the freezer. Amazing!!!!

I really enjoyed my stay at the TownePlace Suites in Fort McMurray. The room was comfortable and clean. The staff was very helpful and nice. I also enjoyed a nice dinner at the Lobby Bar + Lounge at the adjacent Microtel across the parking lot. I will definitely stay here on my next business trip. Thank you, Patricia!
